Further Investigations
I spent Monday adding finishing touches to my poster and proofing it. Having completed this, I went back to do further exploration of the data that was produced over the previous week. Based on feedback from Dr. Zarella at his lab meeting, I created new images that used opacity to show the confidence of the predictions from the trained model. This new way to view the data drastically reduced the visual noise and made it much easier to see the areas of the original histological slide that were deemed to be of relevance to the model. Thursday, we had some excellent speakers and sessions from Dr. Popyack and other regional teachers. I prepared my poster discussion and we presented as a group after lunch on Thursday.
